three products i’m now addicted to…
Friday, June 9th, 2006#1 and #2 - while, i’m still loyal to my yahoo, i’ve become quite the fan of google reader.
i don’t use google reader itself, but the module implementation on the google personalized home page is fantastic. you get the best of both worlds - a dashboard experience for headline content (cnn, bbc, nytimes, wsj, etc.) and stocks/weather…combined with google reader modules that let you read full-text content from grouped sets of feeds (all “rss” feeds, “web 2.0,” “basketball,” whatever…).
next, the google reader mobile edition rocks. just label feeds you want to read on your cell “mobile” and then bookmark that view of the google reader mobile edition. the service is lightning fast, smart (personalized river of news rather than feed based - thereby saving valuable mobile clicks), and “full-text.”
nice job jason, nick, and team!
#3 - shozu is the “yahoo! go” for flickr (and other services)..
every photo can be instantly saved to flickr…with a title and tags. the software even stores popular tags, thereby improving usability. while you need to download another app, it’s worth it. very very slick product. yahoo!go, why didn’t you do this? synching to a photo album is cool, yes…but, saving to flickr (aka blogging) is much better :)
