i saw Crash this wknd and wasn’t thrilled. i’m glad they made this movie…but, an oscar???
maybe my expectations were too great. maybe it needs to be seen in a theater. maybe maybe maybe…i just don’t know.
the acting was phenomenal…and, some of the scenes were simply amazing. but, the movie as a whole was just too much. as a friend of mine put it - a bad mashup of grand canyon and pulp fiction.
yeah, yeah, i had to throw in a web 2.0 reference … and no, he didn’t say mashup :)
seriously, there were way too many characters/stories with very little resolution. and, it was insanely contrived.
ahh, what could have been…
“good night and good luck” was far far better and…in many ways more important…

I remember when this movie was called “Grand Canyon”…

I don’t think it’s a “need to be seen in the theater” type of movie, b/c i don’t think most ppl. saw it in the theater…it came so early and the buzz at that point was pretty minimal.
